About this product

Product Information

Star Wars: The Arcade Game does a decent job of recreating the experience of Star Wars, the coin-op classic from 1983. The arcade version's sensational vector graphics are copied with relative success via the home game's raster graphics, and the famous Death Star sequence remains a challenge. The voices are absent, and a few tunes are missing, but the main Star Wars theme is intact. The biggest drawback to the game is that the ship's guns don't move, eliminating much of the feeling of space flight found the original.

  • Great Graphics

Great Graphics but is like PB's other versions of this game in that I wish they would have had "target control" react like the arcade game. It does not. They oreiented it like a fighter would react - fighter direction control NOT target control. In essence it is opposoote the Atari arcace game and frustrting. I am planning on taking one Atari joystick controller and monifying it to correct the problem, The controller will ONLY then work on this game.

  • Excellent

Brings back memories of playing in the arcade. Parker Brothers did a very good job of conversion, plays like the arcade. Didn't think a 30 year old Atari computer had the graphics but it is very enjoyable to play.
